William's Cake Smash 

Last week the handsome little William came to my studio on his birthday for a Cake Smash and Splash shoot. 

His lovely mummy, Emma, asked me to go with a blue theme because it’s a colour that really suits William and I couldn’t agree more. 

Emma left the rest of the details in my hands so I decided to use a mix of blue balloons to create a garland and I asked my cake maker to go simple with white buttercream and blue sprinkles. I really love the swirls of icing on top of the cake and the vibrancy of the sprinkles. 

We did a couple of shots in a cute outfit (this is totally optional but I think it’s nice to grab a few frames before we bring the cake out). 

And then Emma changed William into his Cake Smash outfit and the cuteness was too much to bear! 

I snapped away until William had finished with his cake and then we brought out my baby roll top bath and bubbles.
