A Cake Smash Photo Shoot is specifically designed for babies who are celebrating their first birthday.
Congratulations - your baby is turning 1! I’m sure the last year has been amazing and exhausting in equal measures- but you made it! And now it’s time to celebrate this huge milestone with a Cake Smash.
What Happens at a Cake Smash Photo Shoot
My Cake Smash and Splash Sessions are super relaxed and full of fun. I want to capture your baby being themselves, exploring their cake and enjoying every moment of it. Some babies dive straight in and others are a little more tentative - you never know what their reaction will be until they’re in the moment.
After the Cake Smash
After your little one has finished smashing their cake, we have a dip in a bubble bath to wash away the crumbs. Splashing is very much encouraged!
When Will I Receive My Photos
Following your photo shoot, I will create a gallery of approximately 20 fully edited images and invite you to view your photos and choose a package.
How To Book
As I need to order your cake prior to your session, I require a non refundable £99 retainer to secure your booking. This will then be deducted from your final invoice.

Austhorpe Photography is based in Garforth, Leeds however we have clients travelling from Wakefield, Wetherby, Harrogate, York and beyond for our Cake Smash photo shoots. I am always flexible on shoot times to accommodate your travel requirements so don't let that concern you.
